Pastor Josh Norvill
Meet Josh Norvill, the founding pastor of The Light Church. Josh is commonly referred to as “Bishop Norv” as a nickname. After several years of serving in ministry as a student pastor, Josh, with the help of his family planted The Light Church. Josh is married to Brittany, whom he is madly in love with. He has 3 children: Kora, Bella, and Reid.
Pastor Josh’s Life was changed at 15 years old when he understood that Jesus truly loved him!
When Pastor Josh isn’t spending time with family or in ministry he is bass fishing or woodworking!
Pastor Toby Alsip
Meet Pastor Toby! Toby is the Executive Pastor at The Light Church. Toby oversees all of the operations that takes place at The Light. Toby has an extensive military career of almost 20 years where he has served our country foreign and domestically. Toby came to a relationship with Jesus in 2018 at mens prayer group. It radically changed his life, and we are so grateful for his heart as he serves at TLC. Toby is married to “Junebug” also known as Larrin. They are blessed with 4 beautiful daughters. Although Toby is very manly, he rocks at being a girl dad!
Toby loves to fish, hunt, and eat lots of sweet food and Dr. Pepper.
Pastor Justin Epps & Shelbi Epps
Meet Justin and Shelbi Epps. They are the husband and wife duo team that leads our student and youth ministry!
Pastor Justin is the associate pastor at The Light Church. Justin is instrumental in our vision to REACH, REVIVE, and UNITE our community. Pastor Justin has a special gift for reaching people with the gospel message of Jesus through his ability to communicate the gospel with his words and actions. Our students lives are impacted on a daily basis because of his leadership ability.
Pastor Justin also has an extensive military career where he has served foreign and domestically. The Light Church is grateful for Justins and his heart to serve Jesus.
Shelbi is the Kids Ministry Director at The Light Church. She has a vast amount of experience with children. Mrs. Epps taught as an Elementary teacher for multiple years before coming to The Light Church. She enjoys making fun and creative lessons for the kiddos at TLC. Shelbi has a passion and love to teach kids about Jesus Christ.
Pastor Justin and Shelbi are happily married with 3 amazing children; twins Kaegan and Halli, and little Breeli.
Pastor Steven Murphy
Meet Steven Murphy! Steven is the Worship Pastor at The Light Church. Steven is the bright mind behind our amazing worship here. Steven has served as a Youth Pastor and Worship Pastor for over 10 years.
Steven was born and raised in Ft. Smith, Arkansas. Having found his home with The Light Church, he and his wife, Summer, moved to Jacksboro in March of 2023! Steven and Summer are blessed with three children: Logan, Adalynn, and Eliana, as well as one on the way!
Steven loves to fish, watch Marvel movies, spend time with his family, and watch his Arkansas Razorbacks! He absolutely loves Pepsi! (Must be an Arkansas thing!)
